Every year (except last year due to my broken ankle) we have gone to Sequoia for Thanksgiving. This year, Alex, Garo, Taline and Lorelei were able to come too. We got this great for kids house where all 4 kids got to sleep together. The attic was converted to a kids room. So cool!

Friday night we let them all go to bed together and what a disaster that was. Before bedtime we had played "monsters" where we turned out all the lights, the kids had glowsticks and Jamie and Garo hid in the shadows. When the kids would go by, they would jump out and attack them. When the kids passed Alex or me, we would tickle them like crazy. The thinking was that we were wearing them out but I think we just riled them up. By the time we said good night they were all crying and banging on the door.(we had locked them in) Kacey kept saying "Remember the fun times!" "Come back for more fun times!" After about 10 minutes the crying stopped and mayhem ensued. There were bangs and crashes going on for the next 2 hours. After it had been quiet a while, Alex went in to check on them. David, Kacey and Lorelei were in their own beds and Taline was on the floor next to Kacey. It was just all so sweet.

It was a good weekend with some fun hikes and crazy, overtired kids. The parents were all a bit overtired too :)

David had a phrase explosion over the weekend, I think due to being around Lorelei. It's super cute to ask him a question and hear him answer with a confused look on his face "I don't know...." He also now says when he is upset "That's not funny guys!" Jamie also overheard Lorelei ask where the daddys were and David answered that they were sleeping. Cute that they can have a mini conversation that does not involve the words No or Mine!

On the drive home Kacey told us she wants to make Santa a new hat to give him as a present since he will be giving us presents. She also told us that when she got home she was going straight to bed (which she did not do) because she did not get any sleep. She said she was too busy telling the other kids to go to sleep. She also said that David and Lorelei are not very good listeners.

Helping

The kids are "sorting" laundry. Kacey keeps telling David where to put socks etc. it's so fun hiding behind the corner and listening to them. I especially like when she tells him he is doing a good job :)

All ready to go trick or treating with Dashell and Beckett. David decided to start out in the stroller to conserve energy. Once he saw how the whole thing worked he stayed out of the stroller! He did refuse to wear his costume but still got TONS of compliments on his Thomas jammies. Kacey decided to mix n match this year. She wore her Silvermist costume with her Little Red Riding Hood cape. Both from last year. Mommy and daddy got off cheap this year!

Off they go! Amazing how many houses we covered compared to last year!
Trick or Treat
Mommy I love this!
Let me help you please!
My little team.
Cheese!
Fortunately daddy was able to join us about 3/4 of the way through and got to see both kids having a great time.
Kacey showing off her costume after we got home.
David is clearly ready for bed! We were surprised he didn't fall asleep on the drive home!
A few days ago we went with my MOMS Club to do a little Halloween Parade/Trick or Treating at a local retirement home. This was so fun! The residents just seemed so please to watch the kids all dressed up. What a heartwarming event. :)

Party in the park, this is Lilli.

Ollie, showing us his ROAR!!!!!

October Fun

It's great to have a phone that takes pictures so that I can take pictures almost anytime, but that means I take a lot more pictures! I don't know why I have a regular camera anymore :(

Random story, Kacey was admiring my necklace this morning and said "Mommy, when you die can I have this?"

David has taken to giving me big hugs and saying "Mommy, you my new best friend!!!"

David loves dropping Kacey at preschool. I think he would love to be dropped off too! He goes straight to the cars and makes himself at home. Kacey keeps pleading with me to leave him there and she will take care of him. :) I got this pic and love it because it shows him in my favorite sweater with the Mickey Mouse ears. I will be so sad when he grows out of it!
Taline came over the other day and they LITERALLY played in this alcove (door goes to the garage) for TWO HOURS! I couldn't believe it!
I got one quick smile then he wanted off.
On one of our morning walks David wanted "Uppy - doo!) so Kacey ran over and grabbed his other hand and helped daddy. Melted my heart.
Still can't believe we can walk to this viewpoint in just 5 minutes from our front door!
Watching the deer eating breakfast.
Both kids just love Descanso Gardens

Lilli, Kacey, Ollie and David bringing up the rear....... way back there!
Orangie cat finally checked out the backyard for about 10 minutes and then she was done.
My brave boy!
Such a climber!
Kacey got to go to a horse show, had a fantastic time. Thanks Michele for inviting us!!!
