Kacey's Very First Class Pictures

End of that Chapter

Kacey has been using Pull Ups at nighttime ever since she potty trained. We have tried letting her wear underwear at night with mixed success but lately she has been getting more grown up so I decided to try again. About a week ago she stopped coming into our room in the middle of the night to sleep. We made a big deal about how big she was sleeping in her own room all night that I just kept it going and asked if she wanted to wear underwear to bed and she got very excited about the idea. So last night was the second night and success both nights! She is very nonchalant about it like it's no big deal but to me it is HUGE! WOW, my big girl is really a super big girl. WOW, just so amazing to me.....

Kacey's first trip to Disneyland

Yesterday we took Kacey to Disneyland for the first time. Nana Pat watched David so Kacey got her own special day. I was so excited I had trouble sleeping the night before!!! We didn't tell her until we were driving there and when we finally did, she was so excited! Even the tram ride from the parking lot was super exciting. (By the way, we got the absolute closest parking spot you could get. Someone was pulling out of a prime handicapped spot as we pulled in. Crazy good luck!)

We got in and went straight to Fantasyland. With my scooter we were able to go in the exits of most rides. So we skipped the 30-45 minute waits and did Snow White, Pinnochio, Peter Pan, Mr Toad and Dumbo in less than 90 minutes and that included getting churros!




We then went to Small World and Kacey just had the biggest grin.

Off to the Princess area where we waited in a 40 minute line to take pictures with 3 princesses. That was the absolute most worthwhile line ever. We asked Kacey which princess she wanted to see and all she wanted was Ariel. Well who do you think was the first princess? Yep!









We then headed to Toon Town which was a zoo. We made it to the little roller coaster which Kacey loved. So we thought of doing the Matterhorn but when we got there we found there wasn't a super good shortcut for my scooter and we would have to wait in the normal line. We were so spoiled at this point that we decided not to. So off to the Nemo Submarine! There is a point where it feels like a mini crash or something and the lights go out. Kacey jumped a mile in the air and stayed on daddy the rest of the time. That was the most scared she ever seemed to get but she still loved it.


Jamie took her on Autopia while I grabbed a quick 3pm lunch and he said she thought it was great driving and kept running into the concrete divider. :)

Her head barely touched to top of the line for 40" so we were able to go on Star Tours (which is one of my favorites!)



Then we went to Pixie Hollow, which if that and the Princesses were the only things we saw all day, I think Kacey would have gone home a very happy child. She of course, wanted to see Silvermist the most. We lucked out in that Silvermist arrived about 2 minutes before it was our turn to go in :)




We then saw the parade and Kacey waved the whole time. She would hold her hand to the side of her face and wave it so slightly. The highlight was seeing Ariel dancing with Prince Eric.





By the end of the parade we knew she was fading but we pushed on to Pirates anyways (can't go to Disneyland and not ride Pirates!!!) By the end of it she was throwing her hands up in the air on the last little hill like everyone else. This kid will definitely be a coaster rider!
We got some dinner and Kacey looked at me and said "Mommy, I am a little bit tired." We knew she was done, it had been a long, busy day. She was sound asleep halfway through Main Street.


Just a bunch of little videos cobbled together but Kacey's pure joy is obvious!

Overall, it was better than I could have dreamed. On Mr. Toad my eyes welled up, I was just so overwhelmed with happiness. Going to Disneyland and things like that were the dreams that kept me going during all the infertility times. I NEEDED a family and doing family things like this were the visions I would have as I laid on the table during my acupuncture sessions. It sounds silly but going to Disneyland was the ultimate in all my dreams coming true.

This morning Jamie asked the kids if they wanted an apple. Kacey said "I do!!" and the David yelled out "I do!!!!" he has been saying all day and it is just so cute to hear. He is really trying to copy more words, he'll point to things and say "look, see". He also pretends to eat pictures of food on books which is something I used to do with Kacey all the time. Jamie thinks he's close to a word explosion and I think so too.

David was happy 95% of the time but in this picture he just looks annoyed!

Daddy picked up this snowsuit for $20! I don't know which one of them is more excited for the snow!
Caught Kacey and Taline snuggled up in my bed reading stories. It's moments like this that warm your heart and make you so very glad you have kids and friends with kids!
I was watching Ollie the other day and he and David just get along soooo well. At this point they had been just looking out the window for 5 minutes or so and chatting to each other.


Kacey decided she wanted a cookie and went into the long description of it. I got out the camera to record her and she kind of clammed up but I got her to redo a bit of it.

Christmas dress and Holiday Show

Nana Rie and Babu are in charge of the Christmas outfits for the kids. I think Rie LOVES picking the dresses especially and she is excellent at it!!! I am so glad Kacey loves dressing up in these as well. I think it would break my heart if she wasn't into it because I get so giddy seeing her all dressed up!

Last night was her show at school and of course she wore her new dress!




Her Holiday Show with her 3 year old PreSchool class. She is not the best performer there but I think she says "Hi Mom! Hi Dad!" more than anyone else :)

Christmas Cookies!!!

I haven't really been able to host any playdates but with the holidays coming I decided to try it. I invited just 3 mommys as I felt that was all I could handle and it worked out great. Taline came over early and helped Kacey make cookies and then later Dashell and Henry came over and helped decorate them. They had sooooo much fun! Each kid also had a little gift for the others and they all enjoyed exchanging and opening. It worked out great and I really enjoyed it too.



I got all the kids on the couch and everyone was pretty happy about it except one....
